Month: April 2014

SunDate

Sunday filled with church, kaya toast, frivolous window shopping (which included freeloading on the Toca Hair Salon 2 app which I am obsessed with!!!!) and Captain America. Couldn’t have asked for anything better.

Hope you have a great week ahead 🙂

Lola’s (9/10)

Not going to lie, Lola’s is one of my favourite cafés. The whole café wave is so caught up with coffee and waffles, that there never seems to be anything savoury on the menu. At Lola’s it’s really about the food (at least to me it is). Photos above are from 2 separate occasions; once for dinner with my boyfriend, and another for brunch with my mentor. Seating is rather “cozy” as the lunch and dinner crowd never end. But if you can look beyond the average 20 min wait, definitely give it a shot. Side-note: I’d recommend going for dinner instead of brunch cause the dinner menu is better IMHO.

Personal favourites: Swimmer Crab Spaghetti, Chicken Burger with Spicy Aioli, Bangers and Mash, Iced Matcha Green Tea Latte, Sticky Honey Apple Cake, Crème Brûlée, Sea-salt Chocolate Tart (basically their entire dessert menu)
