Jacket: Uniqlo Sale, Blouse: Asos, Lace Shorts: Zara when it was all the rage, Shoes: Mother’s expensive shoe closet

Took a break from all the studying to support Jerrold and Jill at their choir concert. It took us 6 billion years to get to Yong Siew Tong Conservatory of Music but it was so worth it. AJ Choir was literally so amazing??? They did an entire rendition of Les Misérables and I was close to tears the entire time. Yesterday’s performance reminded me how much I used to enjoy theatre, hopefully I can get back to that once A’s are over!! Also, I have literally repeated this outfit about 4 times but a leather jacket and anything black & white will never go out of style in my book.

Hope everyone had a great weekend, more to come in the weeks ahead 😉

Please excuse the horrendous face, I haven’t gotten much sleep due to the ongoing exams /sobs/.

Pictured above is the uniform which I spent a good 10 years of my life in. I wanted to recreate my version of the uniform (that would have probably made my discipline mistress cringe if my skirt was that short) to pay homage to the institution that raised me to be everything I am and more :’) What I played on most was the colour scheme! You would think that I’d get sick of that combination of white and navy after 10 years but if you ever open up my closet you’ll find 10 white tops and about 20 blue bottoms that go hand in hand. The uniform also required us to wear all white shoes, but I have since thrown away every single pair of ugly white shoes I owned. I matched the outfit with my favourite Nike Roshe Runs to give the outfit a sportier feel and give me some extra height to my 156cm self. Classic MG-style french braid done and voila.

Have a blessed week ahead

Cat Prostitution

Hello there lovely internet people! Today’s post is going to be about the cat café at Boat Quay called Neko No Niwa. As the title suggests, this review is definitely not a positive one. Nestled in between restaurants and bars with a back alley where I am convinced actual prostitution occurs lies a little cat sanctuary. The place was really built to be a cat haven with each cat having their own little cubby. However after the initial excitement, once we went in everything just went downhill from there. The cats seemed… depressed. I’m not sure if it was because it was the evening (7pm) or maybe they ate too much and the food coma was getting to them. Cats are notorious for being lazy shits but none of them seemed satisfied. When people went around to pet and play with them they just looked like they were ready to die. Sort of like prostitutes which have sex too much such that each time she does it there is no more feeling anymore?

We spent a total of 34 dollars for 1.5 hours which was definitely not worth it. The next time I wanna play with cats I’ll probably spend that money getting my friend Xin Yu food so that I can play with her 873456372 cats. I am 100% down for spreading the cat love around, but there is something seriously wrong about this place. meh.

April Favourites

IMG_6585Hello friends! Apologies for not posting (assumption is people are reading this) I’ve been very low on inspiration + time to post anything of substantial worth currently. To liven things up around here I decided to share with you some of my favourite things I’ve used this month (yay) ogay here we go:
IMG_6588 IMG_6619 1. Green Tea!

It all started with a Matcha latte obsession (the one from Lola’s especially). And bimbotic me thought that green tea powder was the same as matcha powder (matcha is just green tea so I was hella confused okay) long story short I spent 25 bux to get watery green tea but it’s become a full blown obsession I even have it in school?? Green tea is apparently really good for you, according to all those fitness twitter accounts I follow, so yay me #health #fit HAHAH okay. IMG_65912. Planner/ Diary Thing

I got this as a present from my cousin last Christmas. It was originally chucked aside with the rest of the notebooks I’ve accumulated from being a girl with a mother who leaves her alone at the Japanese book store. Come the first of april I realised there was so much to do and it was time to get my life in check. Now I don’t leave the house without it (most of the time) and the pages are filled with future plans and doodles from lonely bus rides home.IMG_6613 IMG_6614 3. Onitsuka Tigers

Okay this is very boring considering almost everyone in Singapore has these shoes I swear. BUT I really love them because T and I have matching pairs which makes me really happy when I go to school so yay.IMG_6623  4. Phone Case

Knock off marc jacobs phone case from Hong Kong but it looks like the real deal so I’m not complaining. The case is durable but doesn’t hide the sleek shape of the phone. For a klutz like me who drops her phone about 6 times a day, this case has saved me countless times.IMG_6611 5. Pull and bear Sweater

Another piece from Hong Kong! The florals are feminine yet dark and the mesh cut out part gives it a little something extra.IMG_6592 IMG_65996. NARS Angelika Blush

(ignore the acne I am not perfect thanks)

The very barbie sparkly pink was off putting at first but this blush gives a very healthy glow and the sparkles embedded within highlight your cheek bones well making them hell high and wonderful.

Hope you enjoyed this post which you may see more off if I can’t think of anything else to put here HAHA sianz. Have a great weekend kiddos 🙂
